Story by Ronda Spreeman, provider in Montrose, Wright County:
 
While I was in making breakfast this morning, several kids were playing with the magnets on the fridge.  All of a sudden, one of the day care boys comes over and says "I have to go to time out!"   
 
He said "Because I have too." So he goes over to the time out spot, sits down and I asked him again why he had to go over there, he said, "CAUSE, Ronda." 
 
So I asked his older sister to go ask him why he had to go to time out.  She asked him and he says, "Because I was naughty!"  She comes back and tells me this (even though I can hear them.)
 
I said, "Go back and ask him what he was naughty about." 
 
She goes over there, asks him and he says....................... 
 
"'Cause I picked my boogers and ate them!"
 
She turned around to come tell me and he adds, "But you know I'm trying to stop!" 
 
I just about fell on the floor laughing.  He was so serious about wanting to stop.  She, of course, reports it to me.  So I asked her to go ask him - how long before he was allowed out of time out. 
 
He goes - well, I will let you know on that one when the time is right.   This 4year old is one always keeping me laughing. He comes up with the funniest things.  Never had one put themselves in time out before.........
